Overview
A half-day guided circuit of Agadir's four essential stops: the hilltop Oufella Kasbah ruins with their sweeping bay views, the 6,000-stall Souk El Had, the modern Marina district, and the beach corniche.
Agadir was almost entirely rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake, so its historical layer is thin but genuine. The exception is Oufella Hill, where the 16th-century kasbah still stands in picturesque ruin above the bay. The Arabic inscription on the hillside below — 'God, Country, King' in giant letters visible from the beach — was installed after the earthquake and has become one of the city's most photographed landmarks.
Below the hill, Souk El Had (literally 'Sunday Market', though it runs most days) is one of the largest covered markets in Morocco with thousands of vendors selling everything from fresh Souss Valley produce to Berber pottery and babouche slippers. Your guide navigates the maze efficiently and explains what's worth buying and what isn't. The tour closes with a walk along the Marina jetty and the broad beach corniche that forms the spine of modern Agadir.

Day-by-day itinerary
Agadir → Agadir
- 1
Morning · Oufella Kasbah & Hillside Inscription
Oufella Hill, AgadirDrive to the base of Oufella Hill and walk the paved path to the kasbah ruins. The walls enclose a large empty plateau — all the interior buildings were destroyed in 1960 — but the views across the bay, the Souss estuary and the Anti-Atlas foothills are exceptional. Your guide explains the kasbah's history.

09:30 · Souk El Had
Souk El Had, AgadirMorocco's largest daily covered market occupies a purpose-built walled enclosure near the city centre. Your guide takes you through the produce halls (argan oil, amlou, dried fruits, saffron from Taliouine) and the craft sections (pottery, leatherwork, Berber jewellery) at whatever pace suits you. Haggling is expected but gentle.

11:00 · Marina & Corniche
Agadir MarinaWalk the marina jetty past the fishing trawlers and berthed pleasure boats, then join the beach corniche for a short walk. Agadir's beach is the widest and best-maintained in southern Morocco — fine sand backed by a promenade of cafés and juice bars.

12:00 · Return & Optional Coffee
Agadir City CentreReturn to your hotel or continue for coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice on the corniche before being dropped off.

Frequently asked
Questions about this tour.
Is "Agadir City: Oufella Kasbah, Souk El Had & Marina" private or a group tour?
100% private. Just you and the people you book with — your own driver, vehicle and pace from start to finish. We never pool travellers.
Can I change the dates or itinerary?
Yes. Every itinerary is a starting point. Add a day, swap a riad, change the start city — we'll re-quote in 24 hours and lock the price in writing before any deposit.
How fit do I need to be?
Easy. Light walking on medina cobblestones, plus optional activities you can opt in or out of on the day.
When should I book?
Agadir is a year-round coast, but for peak weeks (Christmas, Easter and July–August) and anything involving Paradise Valley or the Anti-Atlas in spring, book 6–10 weeks ahead. Last-minute (under 14 days) is usually still possible with a phone call.
